![]() The Fusigon Longtooth is on one of the earlier TRO: 3050 designs (Ronin, Inc starts producing the Warhammer 7M in 3047) and has a "common" production date of 3042 in Interstellar Ops (meaning that all of the Successor States have access to at least one arms manufacturer that can produce PPCs to that spec). As with upgrading the Guillotine to its Star League spec, I see one or two points as a more suitable substitute for a MechWarrior-style customization of an existing design, within (negotiable) reason. I see putting that many points into Custom Vehicle as more of "pull out the TechManual and make the whole thing from scratch". It's not like you're up against the maximums. You only have 166 armor factor allocated when 10.5 tons gives 168. You'll be cycling out one PPC for the lasers and missiles when the fighting gets up close. There's no value in alphaing a medium and a six-pack with two ER PPCs. I would lose 4, adding two more mediums, CASE, and 1.5 tons of armor which brings you down to 49/49 retaining the lower arms. Those heat sinks are taking up huge amounts of room. My calculator says you're at 58/51 criticals. But it's longstanding custom that the people who land the kills typically get first dibs on the equipment, and if it benefits my unit, you can bet your sweet bippy I'll honor that custom. Salvage rights are one of the toughest parts of negotiating any mercenary contract, because it's what merc outfits frequently live or die on. And I'll push for the chance for independent owners to trade in their machines for upgraded designs, or at least get access to upgrade kits or salvage if we bring them down. I won't leave you out of any requisition requests. But those aren't going to be rolling off the assembly lines consistently for another five to ten years.īut don't worry. In most cases, it didn't, and SLDF technology wasn't used correctly until actual SLDF designs or purpose-built machines came into production. In some cases like the Victor, where they swapped out an AC20 with a Gauss Rifle, it did. But it shows how the transition to using SLDF technology worked: mostly, they just tried to hot-swap weapons and ferro-fibrous on to existing Age of War-era designs, and hoped that the resulting design would work. Sure, his mech was upgraded in 3051 to a 9K. And Victor is the crown prince of the AFFC. ![]() Even Victor Steiner-Davion's first mech was a standard 3025-tech VTR-9B Victor. The main thing to remember is just that we're in a transitional period, where new tech is coming out, but it's not standard, and it's deployed only to the very best-equipped units. The ranges are better, there's no minimum range, and with double heat sinks, the heat curve is usually pretty manageable. In most circumstances, I'd probably take an ERPPC over a regular PPC. But instead you’ll get:Ĩ) Luckily has cached the last Silverlight releases (you can also check them on after downloading if you wish) and hope they will keep them, since they’re the most trustworthy alternative source for those installers (after Microsoft of course). This island is anomaly heavy, so odds are you'll die. This island is a little more dangerous than the last. ![]() You can convert all the crystals you brought with you to lead here, so you'll have tons.Ĭraft machine gun ammo using lead, sulfur, and charcoal. Be on the lookout for especially sulfur and lead veins, as you'll be needing to craft ammo with them. On this island, you'll finally get rid of the slow firing rifle, and upgrade to a machine gun, which is the best weapon in the game. There are 6 towers on each outlying island by the way. Get set up, and go for those towers as you did with the first island. Make chests as needed (I suggest 10-13), and place the furnace at the entrance opening to your "yard" if you will, and that prevents most enemies from entering. Find the closest transit location and make it your home base. Once there, go across to bridge to the next island. If so, make chests and store all your things there except armor and a crossbow with 20 or so arrows, and make a run for it for the upper left transit location. However, if you're feeling lucky, you can make a couple of trips for the most needed stuff.ĭon't make a home on the new center island unless you're playing on the hardest mode. Once you've cleared the island, go to the bottom, and venture across the bridge with a lot of wood (around 200) and let's say 30 or so stone, and bring your most needed supplies.ĭon't get too attached to all you've amassed on the island, as there's a bug that forgets what are in boxes on map change, so odds are you'll lose a lot of it while transferring to a new map. There are increased monster spawns, anomalies (super dangerous), and you can't see anything. Then find the tower it belongs to on the map and go there.ĭon't venture out at night. My advice is to clear as little as possible, and get the code, then leg it out of there, and teleport to safety. At each tower you'll find a note with a code, which annoyingly enough isn't for the tower you visited, but it's for another random tower on the island, do you'll be visiting the tower locations twice. Once you're comfortable, go unlock some transit locations (huts on the map), and then start visiting the towers. Only shoot fast moving enemies with it to conserve ammo. ![]() You'll be rocking that a bit into island 2. Work on expanding your backpack as much as you can. Shoot crocodiles and bears, tigers, and wolves alike, and harvest their loot. You'll be rocking a crossbow for the first two islands, so get used to it. The crossbow is slower but deals more damage, making it worth it. Remember you can always teleport back to a discovered transit location at any time as long as there are no enemies around. Finally starting on island 2 you want to craft strong armor, and use that exclusively. You need all the leather to upgrade the backpack. Only use leather if you don't have military, but never craft it. This drops from zombies, and are found in chests. Make a melee weapon with the teeth, and upgrade your backpack.Ī note on armor: Upgrade from wool to military armor as soon as possible. Go hunt for Wolves nearby and get their leather and teeth. You'll be up against wolves soon, who aren't terribly impressed with your feeble melee weapons at this stage.Ĭraft tools, and make bunny traps which gets you meat and sheep. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a bow and arrows. ![]() Go look at the houses and structure for chests and loot. You'll need food, flint, and twigs, which all spawn endlessly on the beach. When you're just starting out, you'll be without equipment, but the beach you start on is a what I'd call newbie friendly. Your objective is to disable all the towers on the island - well actually on 3 islands plus a central island, but we'll get to that.Ĭhoosing a home base. The fourth triplet group will slide back and forth from the 8th to the 7th frets and back again before ending back on the 12th fret chord you started with. This makes for a great ending to a song and you may hear this type of chordal ending in many blues classics. ![]() The patterns fretted note descends along the D string before the final bar ending with two chords, C9 and B9. This turn around contains triplets but in an ascending picking pattern with a fretted note on the D string and the open G and B strings. Guitar Tab showing Turnaround 6 containing a repeated picking pattern with a descending bass note before ending on a C9 and B9 chord. This is then rounded up with the A string played open and on the 1st fret before landing on an E chord. At the start of the third bar the run comes to an end with the second fret of the A string coupled with the open E. Along the high E string, the triplet pattern only plays this string open, however, on the Low E and A string, there is a melodic movement that follows the same rhythm. This turnaround has two parts working together at the same time. Guitar Tab showing Turnaround 5 containing a moving bass line with a constant high note and string skipping. This is the same note, but sliding into the 5th fret will cause a slight clash before your slide reaches the unison note. The lick ends by playing two notes on the 5th fret of the B along with the open E. While the major 3rd note technically isn’t in the minor key, it adds an interesting flavour to any blues lick. There is a third bar containing a short lead line running up the E Minor pentatonic using the Major 3rd on the G string. This will give the impression that you are accenting the descending changes. A great way to get into this rhythm is to play each triplet three times, then when you have the passage in your mind, skip the middle note. This turnaround has a triplet feel, except we are missing out the middle note. Guitar Tab showing Turnaround 4 containing descending dyads on the B and E strings with a short lead line. This turnaround also has a third bar incorporating a short lead lick descending in the E Minor pentatonic scale with an added Major 3rd note (1st fret of the G). The chord takes the shape of a standard D7 chord but descending chromatically from the 4th fret down to the 2nd, before switching at the end of the second bar to the highest 3 notes of an E Major chord. This E minor turnaround starts with a triplet feel, descending chordal pattern. Guitar Tab showing Turnaround 3 containing descending chords and a lead line from the E Minor Pentatonic Scale with an added Major 3rd. If you are using this turnaround mid phrase, then replace that E chord with the first bar of your next 12 bar cycle. The third bar of this turnaround ends on an E chord, if you are using this as an ending this is a great way to wrap it up. For a real delta blues feel, slide into the first note of each group. This turnaround contains a string skip all the way through, with fretted notes on the G and open notes on the E. This would work great at the end of an acoustic blues. The triplets in this example are quarter note triplets meaning each three notes will cover 2 beats of the bar as this turnaround is a slower one. Guitar Tab showing Turnaround 2 containing picked notes, string skipping and slides in the key of E Minor. If you play the initial two notes on the 9th fret with your third finger on the D string and little finger on the G, this will free up your other fingers to play the descending notes as the little finger holds the G in place. The rhythm in the first bar is broken up into triplets, meaning each beat will contain three notes. This first turnaround is in the key of E minor.
